The annual D&AD Awards are highly respected, and regarded as a major event in the world of design and advertising. Two kinds of awards are given out, a Yellow Pencil and a Black Pencil , in various categories ranging from environmental design to billboard adverts and animation shorts.

D&AD is the most famous awards for graphic design and communication, and is organized by Design and Art Direction (D&AD, formerly known as British Design & Art Direction) which is a British educational charity which exists to promote excellence in design and advertising. Their logo includes the words "Benchmarking and rewarding great ideas that are well executed and appropriate".


Final Verdict

This is a good design award for graphics and communications design categories, however the entry fees are really high, making it exclusive to large agencies and studios.
